Please do not arrive any earlier than this as time is needed to thoroughly prepare your accommodation between visitors. If you are expecting to arrive later than your specified arrival time, please send an e-mail or telephone the cottage owner (as detailed on your confirmation) to make arrangements for collection.
Please ensure that you leave your cottage by 12.00am on the day of departure to enable caretakers sufficient time to prepare it for the next guests.
The cottages are located approximately 52 km (about 40 minutes drive) from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík.
From the International Airport (Leifur Eiríksson, Terminal) you can drive to Reykjavík via road 41 (approx 50km, 40 min), there you find your way through the city and take road 1, east in the direction of Selfoss. After you have cross the bridge over the Ölfusá in Selfoss, you take the first turn to the right from the rotary. Then you dirve forward at road 34 to Eyrarbakki. The cottages are located in the middle of the village, at Eyrargata 37a.

Bus from the Airport Keflavík
From airport Keflavík you can take a flybus to Reykjavík then you take a bus number 52 from Reykjavík to Eyrarbakki.
The cost of linen and towels are included in the rental price.
The cottages provide bed linen free of charge and beds are made up ready for your arrival. Linen is changed weekly (on request) for holidays of more than one week. Cot linen is not provided – please bring sheets, pillows and duvet/blankets with you.
The cottages provide one bath and one hand towel per person and a bathmat. A hand towel will be provided in the kitchen as well as an oven gloves, a dish cloth and a tea towel.
Towels will not be provided for swimming or beach use.
Apart from finding a well-equipped and comfortable cottage ready and waiting for your arrival, you will also find some basic starter supplies. These will include a single roll of lavatory paper, some washing-up liquid and a cleaning agent for the bathroom and kitchen. We do also provide a tea, coffe and spice.
Remember that there is a Duty Free store for incoming passengers at Keflavik airport and this is your last chance of buying your Duty free allowance of beer, wineand and spirits. Once you have entered Iceland the goverment taxes alcohol heavily and the prices can be 3 times more expensive than at the airport.
It’s not allowed to stay with more people in the accommodation than specified in the booking confirmation and on the website.
In Iceland it is custom to take off your shoes when entering a house. We would like you to respect that.
Iceland has 220 voltage and standard European (german type) plugs.
You can drink the tap water in Iceland.

We fully understand that accidents/breakages happen and if any occur please let us know so that they can be rectified before the property is re-let. Seaside Cottages reserve the right to terminate any letting without recompense if damage is being caused to the property or disturbance to any person in the vicinity right to enter Seaside Cottages is reserved in connection with these circumstances.
A cot is only provided in Sudurgata and only suitable for babies aged under two. There is no extra charge for a cot – but linen for cot is not provided – please bring sheets, pillows and duvets/blankets with you.
Highchair is only provided in Sudurgata. It is free of charge.
Please note that cots and highchairs must be ordered in advance.
Electricity central and heating are included in our prices.
To keep the cottage fresh for future visitors the property is non-smoking throughout and we do not accept pets, sorry.

We offer a Washing machine in Sudurgata cottage.
We offer 4 bikes to use.
Safety box are set in both cottages.
